Stop the Drama: Pinkberry Ain’t Coldstone!
Posted by GoodLuckDeluxe under Food and Beverages , Dining in L.A.
With all the chaos and emotional madness surrounding a simple frozen yogurt concept, you would think we were talking about eating the Holy Grail.
Pinkberry ain’t all that.
Sure, Pinkberry frozen yogurt is tasty and trendy, but I don’t foresee myself still eating it five years from now. Sometimes I think the public just latches on to novel concepts for the sake of novelty alone.
So imagine my surprise when I read this bit on Kiwiberri vs. Pinkberry. When I read that I was like, you have GOT to be kidding me! Even a mango smoothie from
Jamba Juice or Robek’s could give Pinkberry a run for its money.
Now if you were to talk smack about Coldstone Creamery - THEM would be fightin’ words, and sho ’nuff reason to resort to fisticuffs.
Ogling the Coldstone Creamery wizards as they smash and hammer Heath Bars into crunchy submissiveness, then smoothly incorporate them into frosty coffee ice cream with chopped pecans…now THAT is something to defend!
Make no mistake about it: Coldstone is King.

Both Pinkberry and Coldstone taste good but the best frozen yogurt i’ve had was on a trip to Vancouver at froyo stores called Yogen Fruz. Exquisite.

Sounds interesting. As if I need more things to try!

I tried Pinkberry and they are ok… I haven’t had coldstone for years… and they are not king…. I’ll take Jamba Juice over coldstone any given day. I agreed with foodlover, yogen fruz is very good. They mix frozen fruit of your choice with their frozen yogurt bar right in front of you. I’ll take yogen fruz over coldstone any given day too. Yogen fruz have probiotics in most of their yogurt.

Hey Terry,
I still have yet to try Yogen Fruz, so I’ll take your word on it.
I take tons of acidophilus already, but like the idea of probiotics being in my dessert.
I just checked their web site and it looks like they haven’t franchised here in the U.S. yet. Oh well, when they do, I’ll do a review!
